ANTM Cycle 17 Episode 2 Recap/Review

Okay show, that is more like it. I am not going to lie, last week had me scared. ANTM felt like a totally different show, one that I was not all that excited to watch. This week, however, the show got back to its roots with makeovers and decent photo shoot. That is what I want to see. The fact of the matter is, these girls were brought back because of their personalities. They can provide entertaining television on their own, they do not need any help with a ton of producer-created bells and whistles. So it was really nice to see a pretty standard episode this week, where the focus was on our loveable bitches. Let's get to it! Roll the opening!

ANTM Cycle 17 Episode 1 Recap/Review

Oh ANTM, I think you have made huge mistake. I was super excited about this cycle, but now I am questioning so much of what just happened this past episode. Honestly, I just do not even know. So let’s just start from the beginning, while I try and sort this out.

First off, there is the house.

            ANTM, I have no forsaken you! The whole moving to another country thing just prevented me from having time to finish up with last couple of reality television whores contestants. What? I love these women but let’s not get it twisted. They are here to get their name back out there, nothing else. Speaking of which, Sheena Sakai and her fake boobs everyone!

Oh America’s Next Top Model, how I love you. Of all of the series I have watched, ANTM has been the one I am most loyal to. I have seen every episode of its 16(!) cycles and now cannot wait for number 17. Now I know many people comment on the shows decline in quality these past few years, but I am not among them. Yes, I think those people have legitimate complaints, but I also think they have too high of expectations. ANTM has always been frivolous fun and a chance to see some gorgeous pictures from time to time. At its core it a reality television competition, one I rather enjoy. So when the announced that this upcoming cycle would be one filled with returners, I became super excited. In the lead up to the premier, I plan on highlighting each contestant as well as give my prediction on how they will do this season. And of course, I will be recapping and reviewing the show with fervor once it begins.
